In and around Caledon - new communities and celebrity visits

As a family that lives and works in the Caledon and Bolton area, we like to stay on top of things that are going on in our community. It helps us stay connected with the people who shape our town’s culture, which is something very important to us.

Caledon is a great place to live. It offers all the attractions of country life, with all the convenience of being just a short commute from the big city. A picturesque and quaint town, living in Caledon offers all the advantages growing families have come to expect thanks to the community’s close proximity to major retailers, top ranked services and amazing entertainment.

Even Canadian celebrities are starting to take note of Caledon’s charm. Pop music icon Shawn Desman’s latest music video, "Dum da dum" was almost entirely shot in Caledon East and even features the video’s stars hammering in a RE/MAX For Sale sign at their property. Apparently someone got the message that the real estate market in Caledon is heating up, and decided to share it with their world-famous friends.

Speaking of the market in Caledon, information was finally released to the public this past week regarding new subdivisions that are in development plans for the Strawberry Fields area. Although final plans and re-zoning have yet to be approved, we are expected to see some major progress in the upcoming months as the town of Caledon attempts to create another great new community for families to live, work and play.

To learn more about new real estate developments in the Peel Region, what’s happening in and around our communities, or if you just want to chat about the market, we want to hear from you. Alternately, if you know of any exciting Caledon news that our readers might like to hear about, feel free to call, email or comment on our blogs. We’d be happy to share the news with all of our clients, colleagues and friends.
